Some staggering thoughts

I just watched Rob Bells "Rich" last night from the the Nooma series. Mind blowing. You should catch it sometime.

Get this the US about 6% of the worlds population but we consume some 40% of its resouces.

We are one of the richest places in the world. Think about this 92% of the world does not own a car. Any kind of car. Even that junky ride we are kinda saving for our kids to drive when the turn 16 to wreck!

Only 8% of the worldest richest own a car, I assume that includes you!

A huge portion of the world lives on less that a dollar a day. They live on less change than you have in your cars ash tray.

There are hundreds of thousands that will not eat a meal today or have clean drinking water. Some guys smarter than me, have figured that 20 billion would resolve the issue world wide of clean drinking water and starvation. The US spent 21.6 billion in 2005 on ice cream. (IDFA.org)

Hmm. makes you think about what we are doing... Think about being rich the next time you turn on the tap to fill a glass. Think about the perspective of wealth the next time you turn your car ignition on. Think about being rich the next time you run into Kum & Go to grab a $1.39 coke.

Its all about perspective.
